The MVP wedge · 01

A four-year plan that checks itself.

Paste your program's academic map or upload a screenshot. We parse course codes, credits, prerequisites and co-requisites into a real plan — then catch the impossible sequences before your advisor does. Try it: move a course and watch the rules re-check.

Tap a course, then tap a term to move it — or drag it. We re-validate prerequisites and credit limits instantly.

No conflicts. Every prerequisite is satisfied and no term is overloaded.

Link or upload

HTML academic maps parse automatically. No clean link? OCR a screenshot or PDF — low-confidence fields are flagged for you to confirm, never silently guessed.

Honest about what's live

We monitor public catalog pages for changes. We never pretend to read your private registration — that lives behind your university login, and we say so.

Built for transfers

Carry credits across institutions. The plan doesn't assume a single school for your whole degree, because real students rarely do.

This isn't a mockup

The full planner, syllabus tracker, consent-gated capture and writing coach are live and free. Your data stays in your browser.

Every syllabus becomes a checklist.

Drop in a syllabus and we lift out the assignments, readings and exams with their due dates and weights. Overdue and upcoming are impossible to confuse, and every course links back to its slot in your plan.

Why we're different

You're the owner. Always.

The day you turn 18 or set foot on campus, your education rights become yours — not your parents', not your school's, and certainly not an app's. We built the whole product around that fact instead of around it.

01

You own your record

Under FERPA, your rights transfer to you on enrollment. So the student is the sole account holder — and you can export or delete every byte we hold, on demand.

02

Consent-aware by design

Lecture capture is gated by your state's recording law and your institution's policy, defaulting to the strictest. We never facilitate unlawful recording — and recordings are never shared by default.

03

A coach, not a ghostwriter

Our AI reviews your draft, asks hard questions and points the way — it will not write the paper for you. And we refuse to rely on AI-detectors that wrongly flag non-native writers.

04

Parents see only what you allow

Parent access is invited by you, scoped to exactly what you choose, and revocable in a single tap. A parent is never the owner of your data and can never authorize record access.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

What is CoursePlanner.ai?

An all-in-one AI college companion. It helps students plan their degree, track every syllabus and deadline, manage financial aid, study more effectively, support their mental wellness, and find tutors — in one student-owned workspace, with an AI assistant named Athena.

Is CoursePlanner free?

Yes. The degree planner, syllabus & deadline tracking, money & financial-aid tools, the learn-to-study knowledge base, the wellness hub, and the tutor marketplace are all free. A Premium tier at $20/month adds the Athena AI advisor, the writing coach, and the AI study tools.

Who owns my data?

You do. Your data is stored locally in your own browser by default and can be exported or deleted at any time. Cloud sync across devices and read-only parent access are both opt-in and revocable.

Does it work with Canvas?

Yes. You can import your courses and assignment due dates from Canvas using your own personal access token, which stays in your browser and is never stored on our servers.

What financial aid does it cover?

Federal aid (FAFSA, Pell Grant, Direct Loans, work-study) plus every U.S. state's flagship grants and scholarships — all 50 states and Washington, D.C. — with real priority deadlines and a FAFSA paperwork assistant.

How much does Premium cost?

$20 per month, or $200 per year (two months free).
